"You are meant to grace the world with your dance, to follow the lead of Jesus wherever he leads you." - Captivating

Aside from Jesus, "...traveling is the great true love of my life...I am loyal and constant in my love for travel...I just don't care what it puts me through. Because I adore it. Because its mine. Because it looks like me." - Eat.Pray.Love.

Here you will find my travels, not just physical travels but emotional and spiritual as well...journeys to different places in the world and journeys of the heart. And, of course, fun and silliness too :)

One surprise, some kayaking, and a little liver & onions

I went for a quick visit to California this past weekend. I went for Adam's birthday but my cousins, Brent and Kim, came up with the idea of surprising my cousin Jill with my arrival. It was fabulous...Jill gave the best surprise reaction at our delicious breakfast at Wilma's in Balboa Island. You can watch the video on The Zakaryan's blog. For Adam's birthday, Dani, Brent, and Kim had planned an elaborate Texas food feast for Adam, friends, and family. Adam really misses Texas food and one of his favorite places is Luby's...yeah, we're classy. They don't have that in Cali so I found a Luby's cookbook that I gave him for Christmas. We put it to good use making: Chicken Fried Steak, Fried Okra, Macaroni and Cheese, green bean bundles, mashed potatoes, and even Adam's favorite, Liver & Onions. The food was delicious! On Monday, Dani and Adam took Jill and I kayaking. I actually really enjoyed it! I had a WONDERFUL time visiting with all my California family...they are all so special to me and I miss them so much!!

(These pictures are all out of order but I was annoyed with putting pictures on blogger.)

Cooking away -- I think this was right after I asked Jill to take a picture of me in it for proof that I was helping with the cooking. (Dani and I are laughing because I embarassingly said, "well it won't be fun if I'm not in the pictures.")

The cute sign Kim and Brent had waiting in the guest room for me :)
Cooking, cooking, and more cooking
Adam wasn't excited at all about the food.
