"You are meant to grace the world with your dance, to follow the lead of Jesus wherever he leads you." - Captivating

Aside from Jesus, "...traveling is the great true love of my life...I am loyal and constant in my love for travel...I just don't care what it puts me through. Because I adore it. Because its mine. Because it looks like me." - Eat.Pray.Love.

Here you will find my travels, not just physical travels but emotional and spiritual as well...journeys to different places in the world and journeys of the heart. And, of course, fun and silliness too :)

Fall TV

I am such a big TV watcher. Now do I have the time to devote to all the TV shows that I am addicted to? Of course not. Do I still watch all of them? Yes. And somewhere in here I promise I manage to have a life. I always like the beginning of the fall season when all the cliffhangers get resolved...however as I am thinking about the TV shows that I am excited to see this fall the list is slimmer than usual. I don't think there are as many quality TV shows on now as there used to be. And my choice of tv shows now is more immature than when I was in high school. Suddenly in college I have become addicted to random teen dramas since so many of my roommates over the years have watched them. Here are the shows I am looking forward to:

Alias: His name's not Michael Vaughn!?!

Gilmore Girls: Lorelai asked Luke to marry her?!?

The OC: What will happen to Marissa?

One Tree Hill: Will Lucas and Brooke/ Lucas and Nathan work it out?

Desperate Housewives: So many questions!!

And I'm ready for a new season of America's Next Top Model and to see the winner of The Cut!
And as if I need anymore shows to watch I'm also interested in seeing more of Grey's Anatomy and the new show Related.

See what I mean...I used to watch more mature shows such as West Wing and ER but somehow those have taken a backseat to the WB. I should start watching West Wing again.

Any other TV fans excited about any shows?

Update

Per Trey's request I am updating my blog...however I honestly have no idea what to write about. You probably won't be seeing much of me for the next couple of weeks because sorority rush starts on Sunday...or work week to get ready for rush starts on Sunday. Not that not having an update on my blog for two weeks will be anything different than normal. Rush is an interesting process. Trying to explain it to someone who has never experienced it from either side is impossible. You have to go through it to understand it. I have tried explaining it and people are like "What?? You clap and sing as girls walk in single file to your sorority house? you kneel in front of them to talk? they wear certain outfits? a bump line?" It sounds insane and parts of it are insane but the process works somehow (usually) in the end. I am not one of those girls who is obsessed by sorority life although I do enjoy it because some of my closest friends are there and we honestly do alot of good work for our philanthropy and other groups' philanthropies. Sororities are definitely more than the stereotypical Legally Blonde girls...although I of course love that movie. Anyway though didn't mean to turn this into a defense of sororities...like I said NOTHING to talk about...sorry. Hopefully after Rush is over I will be able to think of a more fun topic...or maybe even before Sunday so that I can leave you for two weeks with something brilliant...unlikely though.

Captivating

I just finished reading Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge. I highly recommend it to all women. John Eldredge is the author of Wild at Heart if any of you have read that...it is also a very good book abou the heart of a man. Captivating is by John and his wife and as the cover of the book says is about "unveiling the mystery of a woman's soul." Whether you are single, married, young, or old, I think most any woman would be uplifted and encouraged by this book. It talks about living the life that God has planned for you and doing it in the uniquely feminine way that he made us. It discusses the desires of a woman's heart and how God fulfills them. Anyway, if you are looking for a new book then think about Captivating.
